Log homes come in all different styles. This one has a gambrel roof, wide shed roof dormers, and a shed roof over the porch. Gambrel roofs are distinguished by having two different slopes on each side of the ridge with the lower slope being more steeply pitched. Because of the sloping building lot, the 2 car garage was able to be located in the lower level of this home. The covered front porch is a common feature of a traditional log home.
