This house is just south of downtown Reykjavik. When we first saw it we were struck with its design; the angled bay, the small hip roofs on the gable ends, and all the gingerbread (fancy moldings). However, as we walked closer, the design was not what we found to be its most unique feature.
Being from the United States, where we have an abundance of wood, we expected to see wood siding covering the walls. Go back to the Table of Contents and click on the next picture to see what material was actually used.
