 This contemporary style home has a mansard roof covered with cedar shingles and a light brown brick veneer. The shed dormers on the second floor have a single pitch roof with a low slope and the casement windows relate nicely to the windows below. Notice that the steep pitch of the roof allows the second floor wall to be built directly over the first floor wall which maximizes space. The overhang created by this roof design together with a slightly recessed front entryway, provide a nice covered porch effect. |
